This past week I spent a lot of time at Cedar Sinai Hospital. My mother was in having surgery on her stomach and esophagus (it went very well, thank you for asking). It's a wonderful hospital and her care has been amazing. However, I did see this sign in the main elevators. If this is intended to reassure, I'm not sure that this sign serves its intended purpose.
I mean, I'm not usually at all nervous on elevators, but this sign left me imagining plunging to my death just before the car runs out of air.
(Note: I did not take this picture. Someone else had already done so and loaded it to Flicker.)
Uh...telephone (if furnished). WTF?
LOL

Indeed Jules.
And "little danger" is not the same as "no danger." :)
I'm not sure it was really thought through.

Your mother should be granted a complete and speedy recovery, Espy. I hope you will all have a wonderful holiday together - and that somebody ELSE is making the tamales. Do you ever make the sweet ones?

I tried to e-mail you at the e-mail on this page, but it bounced. Here is my e-mail, mostly (you'll have to write me to get my phone number ;-)
Howdy,
It finally dawned on me to go back to Deluzy's blog and read the comments. LOL My in-laws live in Orange County, so I won't be "near" near, in an LA sense, but near enough. I do want to go by the USC bookstore while in town--I hope--to pick up some more USC swag. :-) My MIL tends to keep a pretty tight rein on me when I visit--sigh--so I never know what I'm doing from one day to the next--and since they just paid our rent this month, I have to be nice, well, should be nice--but we can try. That's all we can do. You can call me, if you like **********, or just e-mail, I do have a Crackberry, and perhaps we can work something out. Are you in town for the holidays?

Wow. That sign reminds me of when I was in London. I went to a park and there was a long sign asking people not to let their dogs poo in the park as it was terribly inconvenient for the park patrons etc. etc. I have a picture of that one too.
