FABULOUS bike ... I have a retro-style Schwinn cruiser and love it.

And I have a whole HK fixation as well. Argh. Down to having had HK phones and checks. Do I find it distressing that she *doesn't have a mouth*???? I do, esp. from a feminist perspective. But I still heart HK.

Have a fabulous trip. A colleague is at the Edinburgh Festival as well. Never been -- have a blast.

I just got a bike last month, and I love it, too! I feel so incredibly STRONG and, OMG, athletic when i ride.

Have fun in Blighty!

My retro bike looks retro cos it's the first grown-up bike I ever had, ca. 1970. It's an old 27" Raleigh, originally white, but repainted racing green.

Have a lovely time in GB. Do check out the undies at Marks and Sparks and enjoy steak stuffed with smoked salmon - an indulgence I still remember from Edinburgh.

Hope you are having a good time in London - the weather over here hasn't been great so I bet you've been a rained on quite a lot!

Glad that the pound is shrinking in value against the dollar - and that this coincides with your visit is a real spot of good luck!
